IBS: Achieving Attainability Through the Density Equation

Surveys ask, "Do you want a larger home?" when the better question is, "If the home you are considering was 20% smaller than your ideal home, yet cost less to purchase, would you be likely to give the home serious consideration?" Larger homes on larger lots may lead in some areas, but for much of the U.S., the first attainability solution is increasing densities with smaller homes. With better, more efficient design, homes that are 15% to 20% smaller are just as livable and can appeal to a greater buyer pool. During this presentation, you'll explore efficient design and floor plan solutions, new construction techniques, and more—all in the name of attainability and density.
