Located by the Fuchun River, the Tonglu Senbo Resort’s design takes inspiration from the beautiful landscapes and winding river valleys that surround the site. The experience begins at a landscaped square, shaped by the natural elements of mountains, rivers, and streams. From this entry point, a water feature continues into the visitor center, creating the impression of a river flowing into a central valley.
The main hall of the visitor center rises dramatically, forming a corridor that frames a clear view of the outdoor water park located behind it. This design invites guests to connect visually with the full resort experience as soon as they arrive. In the evening, lighting projections animate the walls on both sides of the adjacent market hall, turning them into large vertical scrolls that display cultural stories and imagery.
The hotel is arranged in a linear form with rooms on both sides of a central hallway. This shape gently bends to open up space for a drop-off area and welcoming front plaza. Rooms on the south side overlook quiet mountain and water views, while rooms on the north face the more active water park. The building features a series of stepped terraces that create private balconies and expand views for more guestrooms.
