Charter High School

  • San Diego, California
  • Educational Concept Study

Designed to feel more like a college campus than a traditional high school, the concept encourages students to see what comes next.

This unbuilt charter high school concept explores how campus design can support students as they prepare for college, careers, and life beyond graduation. The plan brings classrooms, student services, arts programs, and career technical education together in a walkable environment that encourages connection throughout the day. Flexible learning spaces, outdoor gathering areas, and recreation amenities are woven into the campus to support a variety of learning styles and student experiences. Through planning studies, renderings, and site design, the concept illustrates a school environment that feels active, welcoming, and closely connected to the goals and ambitions of the students it serves.
