Marvin Elementary Modernization

  • San Diego, California
  • San Diego Unified School District

A comprehensive modernization united decades of campus growth into a cohesive, easy-to-navigate environment for students, staff, and families.

DAHLIN transformed Marvin Elementary School's campus through a comprehensive modernization that enhances learning environments, campus circulation, and long-term performance. The project included the renovation of 80,000 SF of existing facilities, a new 14,300 SF kindergarten complex, and a 1,200 SF administration building.

Site-wide improvements introduced accessible pathways, upgraded infrastructure, a new play structure, and a photovoltaic solar system that supports the district’s sustainability goals. A refreshed campus identity, expressed through vibrant color, custom graphics, and intuitive wayfinding, creates a welcoming environment for students, staff, and families while strengthening connections across the campus.
